Rain, Rain Go Away...

We were lucky enough to not have any major flooding problems through this crazy, rainy time...but we did have a nice little waterfall with a mini river in our back yard. Stinks when other people's water runs through your backyard.

The bunnies like our yard; sadly they like our flowers too

Labor Day

So our family decided to make a trek up north and spend the day by the river. Some fished, some ate, some relaxed...and some did it all. :) Here are a few pictures that captured our day:

The Scary Killer Wasp!!

Ok, so it's not really a 'killer' of people but it is called the Cicada Killer Wasp which is a really BIG, gross type of wasp. It was living in our back yard and my husband was finally able to get rid of it...lets just hope it didn't have any little babies. We had to take a picture of it because it was such a big type of wasp. SCARY. I had bad dreams about this thing. Notice in the picture that it is still curled up a little bit and is about an inch and a half long!!!
I hope we don't have anymore of these things living around our house!

Our Favorite Furry Little Friend

Our favorite little boy turned one on August 21st. Happy Birthday Jackson!!

Rock Stream, NY (July '09)

Matt and I have made it back from upstate NY. The drive home was probably the worst part, 14 hours. Beautiful drive, but just ready to be home already. You know the feeling... We spent the week at Matt's grandfather's lake house off of Seneca Lake, one of the finger lakes. We basically spent our days sitting outside talking, reading, and laying out. That's about it. We made it to the wine festival in Watkins Glen and Matt got out in the canoe. I didn't make it out in the water this time. Too cold for me. And the seaweed tickles my legs. The weather was wonderful, but we are happy to be home. Here are a few pictures. They are actually last year's pictures, but it still looks all the same. :)

Good ol' Seneca Lake

Matt and I will be leaving at the end of this week to head up to New York for the week. It is a much needed vacation for the both of us...probably more Matt since I technically have Summer's off. ;) Matt's family has a lake house in up state NY so I still have never been to the city, but we will make it one day. I'll post pictures when we get back.

It is going to be hard staying away from my little niece, Lydia, for a whole week. I don't think I've even gone a day yet without seeing them since she was born. I know she will change so much in that short time. She's changed so much already!
