Gymnastics

Started gymnastics again. She was not the greatest fan of ballet and tap. She loved doing it, but was always too anxious. Gymnastics she is way less anxious and leaves excited to return.
'Everyfing' is her favorite.

Cinderella

Rainy day movie date to see Cinderella. This is one of Madelyn's favorite Disney movies, so we figured she'd love it. These are the faces you get when you don't realize your flash is on.  Thank goodness it was before the movie started.

Observations

Madelyn has become very observational lately.
Great, right?
Well, one day we were at storytime at the library and she kept turning around to look at the lady sitting behind her.  I thought maybe the lady had a cute baby sitting in her lap or something or a cute cat on her shirt or something.  Madelyn gets Liam in on the action too...
They both turn around.
Madelyn points.
I walk up to her and whisper to her about storyline getting ready to start and casually mention what was going on.
Well, the lady had on braces.
I don't think Madelyn has ever seen someone with braces.
She was just being curious, but we had a chat about not staring or pointing at people.

About a week later we are at dinner with nana.  A man walks by and goes to sit in his booth.  Madelyn says "Wook, mom, he's got a baby in his belly."
I'm not even sure what happened next.  I know I just stared at my mom for a couple minutes a million thoughts running through my head- did she just say that, did he hear, what do I do, what do I say, do I ignore it, do I make a big deal out of it?...
When all is said and done I just told her we'd talk later.

At home we had a little talk about how women have babies, men don't.
We also discussed that some people may have big bellies, but there might not be a baby in there.
Some people just have big bellies.

Tiny Towne

Found a new play spot. Tiny Towne. Madelyn got to drive her very own car- gas pedal, steering wheel and all! She really impressed us. She thought she was such a big kid! We also took a train ride and played some arcade games. A great rainy day activity!

Drawing Faces

Madelyn is really into drawing faces...
When she wants to.
Don't you dare ask her to.
The answer will be no.
But when she draws a face- she draws a face.
Here is what happened the other night:
Me- (drawing a face)
M- (drawing her own face) Mom, you forgot your cheeks (draws my cheeks for me).
Me- oh, thanks, yeah, I forgot.
M- And your teeth... you forgot your eyebrows too.
(as she draws my teeth and eyebrows for my face as well)
Me- Thanks baby girl.  I can't believe I forgot those.

M- And don't forget your picks for your nose!
(as she begins to draw two nose holes for nostrils)

I died.
I had to contain my laughter as to not embarrass or make her feel like that was in any way wrong because I mean, it makes complete sense- you pick your nose, so it makes since to call your nostrils your picks... right?!

Atlanta Zoo 2015

Annual trip to the Atlanta Zoo. We went with our friends, the Robbins. We had a blast. Madelyn said she loved 'everyfing'. Enjoyed a delicious bbq lunch after. What a beautiful day it was!

Atlanta Zoo 2015

We've been about every year since this girl was a baby.
We are good for our 1-2 times a year trip.
Much more than that and the excitement would be gone I think.
We planned this trip with friends and the girls had a blast running around looking at everything.

Snowflakes

Having a little one sure does make you stop and see beauty all around. These snowflakes were too precious not to document.
