Happy Anniversary 2014

6 years.
Man, do I feel I'm getting old.
We celebrated our Anniversary a little more low key this year
since we already have a lot of plans for travel this year.

We spent headed to downtown Atlanta to watch The Lion King
at the Fox.  I wasn't too sure how in the world it would be,
but it was AMAZING!
I would love to see it again.
They did such a great job with every little detail and my favorite
was the lady who played Rafiki.
I cannot speak highly enough of this play and think everyone should go see it.

Before the show though we ate dinner right down the street at an Italian restaurant
which turned out to be delicious!
We ordered a bottle of wine and a pizza that was cooked in their wood burning stove.
I would love to go back to have the exact same thing!

After the show we spent the night downtown and called it a night since we were out
way later than we usually are...about midnight y'all!

Thanks to nana and papa who let our little girl spend the night so we could enjoy
celebrating our 6 years together.

Sadly I only took one picture the whole night...
I guess that's better than nothing!

Happy 6 years, My Love!

The Circus

We took Madelyn to the Circus today.
She had fun watching the shows and riding on the carousel.
The clowns were okay as long as they kept their distance.
When she saw the people on the tight rope and trapeze she said
she wanted to do that when she got big.
Baby girl, we'll see.

Lake Days

Family at the lake again...
this never gets old.
We eat. We play. We kayak. We hang out outside.
What more could you ask for.

Gymnastics Spring Recital

Madelyn had her first Gymnastics Recital today.
Matt and I went along with her Nana, Papa, and Gigi.
She did such a great job.
I was a little worried about how she might do with her mild temperament,
but when all was said and done her first words to me were:
'Can I do it again?'

They sang and danced to Katy Perry 'Roar' to begin the recital
which consisted of Madelyn standing there staring and finally getting into it about
30 seconds 'til the end.
Then they had 3 circuits they had to complete and rotate through which included
balance beams, rolls, somersaults, trampoline jumping, bar swinging, etc...
Then to complete the recital she received a medal.

(Madelyn and her Gymnastics teacher Ms. Jennifer)

(M with her best buddy Bryce)

 Go baby girl!
You did such a great job!

A Day at the Lake

Last minute plans sometimes turn out to be the greatest.
We spend Friday evening having dinner on the rooftop at Pure with Mike and Scocia.
Then Saturday evening we spent at the lake with some of the fam.

Madelyn had her first kayak ride.
And boy, did she love it!
She did not want to get out.

She went out with nana, mommy, and daddy.
She would have stayed out there if we had of let her.
We had a cookout.
Played a little cornhole.
And just enjoyed the beautiful weekend we were blessed with.
