Observations

Madelyn has become very observational lately.
Great, right?
Well, one day we were at storytime at the library and she kept turning around to look at the lady sitting behind her.  I thought maybe the lady had a cute baby sitting in her lap or something or a cute cat on her shirt or something.  Madelyn gets Liam in on the action too...
They both turn around.
Madelyn points.
I walk up to her and whisper to her about storyline getting ready to start and casually mention what was going on.
Well, the lady had on braces.
I don't think Madelyn has ever seen someone with braces.
She was just being curious, but we had a chat about not staring or pointing at people.

About a week later we are at dinner with nana.  A man walks by and goes to sit in his booth.  Madelyn says "Wook, mom, he's got a baby in his belly."
I'm not even sure what happened next.  I know I just stared at my mom for a couple minutes a million thoughts running through my head- did she just say that, did he hear, what do I do, what do I say, do I ignore it, do I make a big deal out of it?...
When all is said and done I just told her we'd talk later.

At home we had a little talk about how women have babies, men don't.
We also discussed that some people may have big bellies, but there might not be a baby in there.
Some people just have big bellies.
