To Train or Not to Train...
Potty Train that is and
that was definitely the question.
that was definitely the question.
We decided to give it a go.
What's the harm in trying...
either she's ready or she's not.
We decided to give it a go because she would run up to me
and 'pee-pee' and most often, yep, she needed a diaper change.
I think she mainly was able to identify that she was going and could feel it.
She's still a little young and now we know she's not quite ready yet.
(After two or three days of dabbing our feet into this unknown territory and her not
really wanting to sit on the potty for more than a second or two)
But, rock on girl, keep telling us that you went 'pee-pee'.

Where's Madelyn?
This is getting out of control.
I have to purposely go in her room and hide things
so she doesn't see them and want to take them to bed with her.

A Little Pool Lovin'
Madelyn has become very fond of snacking at the pool.
She also loves to take her baby and have her do everything she does.
She even likes to attempt to put her face in the water and blow bubbles.

Gymnastics- Awards Day
Madelyn received her very first award today.
A medal at gymnastics for doing such a great job!

Summer Lovin
We love the pool.
Need I say more.
The stairs are the best place to hang out. She gets in and out.
In and out. In and out.
Get the picture.
She also likes to count 1, 2, 3, Jump.
And waits for me to splash her into the pool.
Thank goodness she loves the pool just as much as her momma does!

I knew this day would come...
Eventually.
Madelyn had a blast building a fort with her daddy
Even Jackson.

Being sick has its perks...
Frozen yogurt with mommy.
Icecream with daddy.
Soothes the throat and the gums.
Kills two birds with one stone.
Or something like that...right?
Geese and Water
Sitting in the front yard watching geese and playing in water.
What an adventurous week it has been for this sick girl.
These crazy geese weren't even startled in the least.
I think they thought we were going to be generous and
give them some food.
They came within a foot of Madelyn and I.
I had to stomp my feet to get them to walk away and even then
they just slowly turned around and waddled off like
'oh, shucks, she's not gonna feed us.'
Madelyn now walks around the house
flapping her arms and saying 'honk'.
And she's loving her water table.
'wawa' = water

Sick Snuggles
Strep throat and Teeth coming in.
Not a good combination.
But it sure does make for some good snuggles.
And some weird sleeping habits.
This week she's had to go to sleep with her usual:
blankie, glowworm, and paci...
but add to it a doll and a puppy.
Let me tell you.
It's real nice trying to juggle all those items when rocking her.
Silly bebe.

Cousins/best friends/sister
You choose.
Goosey prefers to call Madelyn her sister.
Madelyn doesn't care what Goosey calls her
as long as she'll be her best pal forever.
Madelyn thinks Goosey is the coolest cousin/friend/sister there ever was.
She loves to hold her hand, dance with her, call her name so she can
watch what she is doing or come play with her.
And of course if we are going to nana and papa's
she has to ask if 'Shoo-shee' (Goosey) and 'We-we' (Liam) are going to be there.
Unfortunately, we sometimes have to let her know that
Goosey and Liam are at their own house.
To Madelyn she is 'Shoo-shee'.

Happiness in an Envelope
It's funny how one small thing can make your day...
This came in the mail today.
Here are a few more Spring Photos
just in case you haven't had enough of her yet:
Thank you Stefanie Jayne Photography!
Sorting
Madelyn had another play date with her friend Audrey in the neighborhood.
This is the first time I've left her without a family member
and she did great!
I had a dentist appointment and was only gone for a little over an hour thank goodness
'cause I did worry a little. I don't know why though.
Audrey's mom said she had a blast playing with all of Audrey's toys and
showed off how smart she is.
Lately she has become really good at shape/color sorting
with the sorting toys like in the picture.
She has two sorters at home that she plays with and the girl doesn't even need help anymore.
It surprises me how quick they learn.
We look forward to many more play dates with Audrey
and getting to the pool soon! It opens in just a week and a half!
